East Asia Physical Geography
Unit One Overview
The region of East Asia is made up of China on the Asian mainland, the country and archipelago of Japan, and the Korean Peninsula.In unit one we will focus mostly on the physical geography of the region such as physical features, landforms, climate, vegetation and natural resources. East Asia also includes the nation of Mongolia and the disputed island of Taiwan.

- Classify and describe the primary nations of East Asia in terms of developed and developing countries. Be sure to mention the distribution of natural resources such as minerals, forests, water and fertile soil.
- Which two countries of East Asia seemed to develop even though they lack natural resources? Give your opinion on why this has happened.
