Cultural Change
Cultures generally change slowly, but they do change. Change in a culture, particularly when it is due to contact with another culture, or by changes within a society, is often vehemently opposed by some in the culture. When the automobile was first introduced more than 100 years ago, many forecast the demise of polite society caused by these foul smelling and noisy machines that required new skills to operate and keep on the road. While some complained about the automobile, others warmly embraced the new machine as a way of reducing time and distance. So, in fact, cultures seem to both resist and embrace change.
There are three causes to cultural change:
1.Changes in the Natural Environment
2.Forces within a Society
3.Contact between Societies
